BLT Sandwiches

A perfectly made BLT sandwich with crispy bacon, fresh lettuce, and juicy tomatoes.

Ingredients
  

  • 8 slices of thick-cut bacon
  • 4 slices of sourdough bread
  • 2 medium ripe tomatoes sliced ¼-inch thick
  • 4 large leaves of crisp lettuce
  • 4 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste

Instructions
 

  • Cook the bacon in a large skillet over medium heat until crispy, about 8-10 minutes. Transfer to a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess grease.
  • While the bacon cooks, slice your tomatoes and season them with a pinch of salt.
  • Toast the bread slices until golden brown.
  • Spread a generous layer of mayonnaise on one side of each piece of toast.
  • Layer your sandwich starting with lettuce, followed by tomato slices, and finally the bacon.
  • Season with fresh black pepper to taste.
  • Cut diagonally and serve immediately.
