Ingredients

  • 1 pound boneless skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 4 ounces cream cheese softened
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 cup shredded cheese cheddar blend recommended
  • 6 large flour tortillas
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional garnishes: Chopped fresh parsley or cilantro a squeeze of lime juice

Instructions

  • Prepare the Chicken: First, make sure your chicken breasts are cut into small, bite-sized pieces. Season them generously with salt and pepper.
  • Sauté the Chicken: Melt the butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the chicken and cook until it's browned and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes.
  • Add Garlic: Add the minced garlic to the skillet and cook for about 30 seconds, or until it's fragrant.
  • Make the Creamy Sauce: Reduce the heat to low. Add the softened cream cheese and milk to the skillet. Stir constantly until the cream cheese is melted and the sauce is smooth and creamy.
  • Add Cheese: Stir in the shredded cheese until it's melted and incorporated into the sauce.
  • Warm the Tortillas: While the cheese is melting, warm the tortillas. You can do this in a dry skillet, in the microwave, or even in the oven.
  • Assemble the Wraps: Lay a warm tortilla flat. Spoon a generous amount of the chicken mixture onto the center of the tortilla.
  • Roll the Wraps: Fold in the sides of the tortilla, then tightly roll it up from the bottom, like a burrito.
  • Serve Immediately: These wraps are best served warm, while the cheese is still melty and delicious. Garnish with fresh parsley or cilantro, if desired.
