- 1/2 cup 1 stick unsalted butter
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 3/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 large eggs
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup chocolate chips
- Sea salt flakes for sprinkling
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour an 8x8 inch baking pan.
In a medium saucepan, melt the butter over low heat. Remove from heat.
Stir in the sugar, cocoa powder, and salt into the melted butter. Mix until well combined.
Add the vanilla extract and eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
Gently stir in the flour until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.
Fold in the chocolate chips until they are evenly distributed.
Pour the batter into the prepared pan and spread it evenly. Sprinkle generously with sea salt flakes.
Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with moist crumbs attached.
Let the brownies cool completely in the pan before cutting into squares.
