  • 1/2 cup 1 stick unsalted butter
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 3/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips
  • Sea salt flakes for sprinkling

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour an 8x8 inch baking pan.
  • In a medium saucepan, melt the butter over low heat. Remove from heat.
  • Stir in the sugar, cocoa powder, and salt into the melted butter. Mix until well combined.
  • Add the vanilla extract and eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  • Gently stir in the flour until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.
  • Fold in the chocolate chips until they are evenly distributed.
  • Pour the batter into the prepared pan and spread it evenly. Sprinkle generously with sea salt flakes.
  • Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with moist crumbs attached.
