Garlic and Herb Croissant

Ingredients
  

  • 4 large all-butter croissants
  • 1/2 cup 1 stick unsalted butter, softened
  • 3 cloves fresh garlic minced
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon fresh chives finely chopped
  • 1 teaspoon fresh thyme leaves
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper

Instructions
 

  • Prepare the Garlic Herb Butter: In a medium bowl, combine the softened butter, minced garlic, chopped parsley, chopped chives, thyme leaves, salt, and pepper. Use a fork or a small spatula to really mash everything together until it's well combined and evenly distributed.
  • Slice the Croissants: Carefully slice each croissant horizontally, almost all the way through, like you're making a sandwich. You want to create a pocket for the butter, but keep the croissant connected on one side.
  • Fill the Croissants: Generously spread the garlic herb butter inside each croissant. Make sure to get it into all the nooks and crannies.
  • Wrap in Foil (Optional): If you want extra-soft croissants, wrap each buttered croissant individually in aluminum foil.
  • Bake: Place the croissants (whether foil-wrapped or not) on a baking sheet. Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for 10-15 minutes. Keep an eye on them – you want them to be heated through and golden brown.
  • Serve Warm: Carefully remove the croissants from the oven. Let them cool slightly before serving.
