- 1 block 14 oz extra-firm tofu, pressed and drained
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 3 tablespoons sriracha sauce
- 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
- 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup for vegan option
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 2 cloves garlic minced
- 1 tablespoon ginger grated
Press the tofu for at least 30 minutes to remove excess moisture. I like to wrap it in paper towels and place a heavy book on top.
Cut the tofu into 1-inch thick slices.
Mix olive oil, soy sauce, and garlic powder in a shallow dish. Marinate the tofu slices for 15-20 minutes.
While the tofu marinates, prepare the spicy sauce by combining all sauce ingredients in a bowl. Set aside.
Preheat your grill to medium-high heat (around 400°F).
Grill the tofu for 4-5 minutes per side, or until nice grill marks appear.
Brush the grilled tofu with the spicy sauce while still hot.
