- 4 large croissants
- 1 ripe pear thinly sliced (Bosc or Anjou work well)
- 4 ounces Gorgonzola cheese crumbled
- 2 tablespoons walnuts chopped (optional)
- 1 tablespoon honey
- Fresh thyme sprigs optional, for garnish
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Carefully slice each croissant horizontally, almost all the way through.
Lay the sliced croissants open on the prepared baking sheet.
Distribute the crumbled Gorgonzola cheese evenly among the four croissants.
Arrange the pear slices on top of the Gorgonzola, overlapping slightly.
If using, sprinkle the chopped walnuts over the pears and cheese.
Drizzle a small amount of honey over each croissant.
Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the croissants are golden brown and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
Remove from the oven and let them cool slightly on the baking sheet.
If desired, garnish with fresh thyme sprigs before serving.
