Ingredients
  

  • 4 whole wheat or regular pita breads
  • 1 cup marinara or pizza sauce
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Sliced bell peppers
  • Mushrooms
  • Red onions
  • Cherry tomatoes
  • Fresh basil
  • Pepperoni or Italian sausage
  • Black olives
  • Fresh spinach

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Place a baking sheet in the oven while it heats up.
  • Brush both sides of each pita bread with olive oil.
  • Spread 2-3 tablespoons of pizza sauce on each pita, leaving a small border around the edges.
  • Sprinkle each pita with mozzarella cheese and add your chosen toppings.
  • Carefully place the assembled pita pizzas on the preheated baking sheet.
  • Bake for 8-10 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly, and the edges are golden brown.
