  • 1 pound ground turkey 93% lean
  • ½ cup plain or Italian breadcrumbs Panko works too
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • ¾ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • Optional add-ins: chopped fresh parsley smoked paprika, red pepper flakes

  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground turkey, breadcrumbs, egg, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
  • Mix gently until just combined. Do not overmix.
  • Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and shape into patties, about ¾ inch thick. Make a slight indentation in the center of each patty.
  • For grilling: Preheat grill to medium-high heat. Grill burgers for 5-7 minutes per side, until internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
  • For pan-frying: Heat 1 tablespoon olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Cook burgers for 5-7 minutes per side, until fully cooked through (165°F).
  • For baking: Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Place burgers on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake for 20-25 minutes, until internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
  • Check for doneness with a meat thermometer, ensuring it reads 165°F (74°C).
  • Let the cooked burgers rest for 5 minutes before serving.
