Recipe Notes

– Don’t overcook the ravioli! The pasta will continue cooking in the oven, so it’s better to have it slightly undercooked when assembling.

– For best results, let the dish rest after baking. This helps the sauce thicken and makes serving easier.

– Feel free to use any type of ravioli – cheese, spinach, or even meat-filled varieties work great.

– To prevent the cheese from sticking to the foil, spray the foil with cooking spray before covering the dish.

– This dish freezes beautifully. Prepare up to the baking step, cover tightly, and freeze for up to 3 months. When ready to eat, thaw overnight in the refrigerator and bake as directed, adding 10-15 minutes to the cooking time.

– If the top starts browning too quickly, loosely cover with foil during the final baking minutes.
